For Finalists
Poster requirements
- Size: 36 x 24 inches (landscape, NOT portrait)
- No template. Be creative!
- The poster is meant to spark conversations. Use graphics and avoid too many words. Judges will not have the time to read the text.
- You print the posters yourselves and bring them to NYU. There is a FedEx store and UPS store near 370 Jay St that could in theory print posters, but please call them to estimate the wait time.
- Metrics for judges to evaluate posters: social impact and technical impact.. All judges come from the security industry. Some may come from academia. They will walk around individual poster stands and ask questions. No need to bring a computer. No demos. No need to make slides. Just the old fashioned way of presenting your poster in front of judges.
- Really there’s no requirement for the length. Just make sure to tell an interesting story to captivate the judges. The venue will be very crowded and noisy, full of distractions. Lots of students and judges come and go. Be prepared to impress your audience in this noisy environment!
